Blockages

About

A blockage is the job you call in when water has already stopped moving. Toilets that will not flush, showers that pool around your feet, kitchen sinks that sit full, or a gully trap pushing sewage back toward the house — that is a blockage, and it is treated as urgent.

CH Plumbing Projects clears blockages across the Central Coast and Hunter, including after-hours call-outs. We are based in Gorokan and regularly attend Woy Woy, Tuggerah, Erina, Wyong, The Entrance and surrounding suburbs.

What we clear

  • Blocked toilets and soil stacks

  • Kitchen and laundry waste lines

  • Overflowing gully traps

  • Main house drain blockages that take out more than one fixture

  • Partial blockages that gurgle, smell or drain slowly and are about to fail completely

How the call-out works

You describe which fixtures are affected. That tells us whether we are looking at a local waste or the main drain. On site we clear the line, confirm flow, and only then decide if the job is finished or if the pipe itself is the problem. Repeat blockages in the same place are rarely “bad luck”. They are usually roots, a belly in the pipe, a collapsed section or something flushed that should never have been flushed.

Blockages versus drain cleaning versus sewer repair

Blockages are the emergency. Drain cleaning is the planned clear and camera. Sewer repair is what follows when the pipe is damaged. Keeping those three jobs separate means you are not paying for a camera you do not need, and you are not paying for another clear on a pipe that should have been replaced.

FAQs

Is a blocked toilet an emergency?

Yes if it is the only toilet, if sewage is overflowing, or if more than one fixture is affected. Call 0434 237 193.

Will you use chemicals?

We do not pour aggressive drain chemicals through a line we have not assessed. Jetting and mechanical clearing are cleaner for the pipe and for the property.

What should I do while I wait?

Stop running water into the affected fixtures. Do not keep flushing. If sewage is escaping, keep people and pets away from it.
