When the hot water system fails, the house stops working. CH Plumbing Projects repairs and installs hot water systems across the Central Coast and Hunter Region — storage, continuous flow and heat pump — for homes and small commercial sites. The first job is diagnosis, not a new unit. Tempering valves, sacrificial anodes, elements, thermostats, gas valves and condensate drains all fail more often than the cylinder itself. If the system is still in a serviceable window we repair it. If it is leaking from the tank, under-sized for the house, or cheaper to replace than to keep patching, we say so plainly and quote the replacement before we pull the old unit.

What a replacement involves

We confirm the duty (how many people, how far the run is, gas or electric supply), check the existing location against current ventilation and tray requirements, isolate services, remove the failed unit, set the new system, reconnect, commission and leave the area clean. Tempering valves are fitted where required. You get a working system and a clear explanation of the warranty.

Coastal and Hunter notes

Harder water and coastal air shorten anode and casing life. Systems sitting outside at The Entrance, Toukley or on the Peninsula take more weather than an indoor plant room in Newcastle. We factor that into the unit we recommend rather than selling the cheapest cylinder on the trailer.

Can you get hot water back the same day?

In most cases yes, either by repair or by same-day replacement if the unit is on hand. Call 0434 237 193.

Should I switch to a heat pump?

Only if the location, noise path and electrical supply suit it. We will not specify a heat pump against a south-facing wall that cannot reject heat.

Do you work on all brands?

We service and replace the common Australian residential brands. If a part is obsolete we will tell you before we start.
